MASILUN
INTERDISCIPLINARY CREATIVE, WRITER & EDUCATOR.
Hello! I am Peyton Masilun
/pay-ton maz-a-lin/
I’m a 23-year-old creative, writer, and educator carving out my professional path.
I graduated in May 2025 from NC State University with dual degrees in Art Studies (CHASS) and Design Studies (COD), plus a minor in Business Administration (PCOM).
I’m currently the 2025–26 Education & Interpretation Fellow at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site, where I work across interpretation, visitor engagement, writing, and design. I’m also a contributing writer at Raleigh Magazine.
My past experience includes internships with Raleigh Magazine, the Gregg Museum of Art & Design, the North Carolina Museum of Art, and Marbles Kids Museum.
My work centers on creating clear and engaging editorial content, developing educational materials, synthesizing interpretive research, designing human-centered experiences, understanding audiences, and producing visual materials across digital and physical formats. I care deeply about storytelling, public engagement, and the ways design can help people understand the world around them.
My passions live at the intersection of museums, journalism, and the broader creative world.
Currently based in Catskill, NY. Born and raised in Charlotte, NC.
